    My friend *redwoodtwig posted this in one of his journal entries and I agreed so much I had to share it and add my two cents:

    "Mostly I try to create art or something like that when I make photographs. To sell art, though, I guess I need to learn a foreign language, the patter used by gallery directors and such. Apparently I can't just say I got what I wanted to get and I like how it turned out, I have to explain it in terms of some kind of art movement..." -*redwoodtwig

    My reply:

    "...I also agree with your foreign language comment. I browsed the 200+ pages of "artistic" jewelry here on deviantART last night and people have an odd sense of what is beautiful or well, wearable."
